So if you’re as ready as we are to launch weekly services and you haven’t started volunteering, then it’s time to get on the team! From First Impressions & Security, to Kid City, to Production & Worship, to OneLife Students, weekday teams, and more – there’s plenty of opportunities for everyone to serve. Go to onelifeknox.com/volunteer to sign up.

Easter is Next Sunday, April 4 – Time to Invite!
Did you know that Easter is one of the best times to invite people to church? More people come on Easter Sunday than any other Sunday of the year. Because of that, we are challenging every OneLifer to invite someone to come experience Jesus with them that day at our campuses. We’re calling it “Easter on Mission!” So get to inviting people where you live, work, and play and let’s make this an unforgettable Easter!

MULTIPLICATION
Share spiritual/missional conversations you've had where you live, work, and play:

  • Who did you have a conversation with that took a spiritual/missional turn this week?
  • What questions did you ask to discover where God is at work in their life, even if they are not aware?
  • How were you able to share your story of life change or how you have experienced Jesus?
  • How can you be intentional this week with people where you live, work, and play to have spiritual/missional conversations if the opportunity arises?
  • Who in your life do you think could be discipleable or open to spiritual/missional conversations?

SERMON NOTES

Discussion Break
How did your family growing up pour into each other? When were there times that you had to focus on another family member, and when were there times that the family focused on you? How does that happen now in your family? How does that change as your family’s stage of life changes?

Bottom Line: I pour out my cup so that my cup can be poured into.

Luke 9:23 NIV
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Philippians 2:17 NLT
But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy.

1. Focus on pouring out.

Philippians 2:7 (The Voice Translation)
But He poured Himself out to fill a vessel brand new; a servant in form and a man indeed.

Acts 2:44 NLT
And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.

Discussion Break
Read Acts 20:35. Why does this idea get forgotten when it comes to church life, finding a church, or attending church on Sunday morning? Why do you think church has become a place for many to consume and be served rather than give and serve?

How have you experienced growth in your life because other people, especially at OneLife or your micro church, have poured themselves out and shared everything they have?

Acts 2:46-47 NLT
They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity – 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people.

2. When the whole family pours out, the whole family is poured into.

Acts 4:34-35 NLT
There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them 35 and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need.

3. I have to get my cup poured into, so that I can pour out.

Psalm 23:5 NLT
You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.

Discussion Break
How do you get your cup filled up by Jesus throughout the week? What can you do before serving others on Sundays or in your micro church so that your cup is full and ready to pour out?

Who in your micro church or in the macro church helps to fill your cup? What do they do that helps you be ready to pour out for the sake of others?

Final Discussion Break
Break up into volunteer teams at your campus and prepare to pour out next week! If you are in a micro church this morning that is not meeting at the campus, share with each other how you are prepared to pour out in your micro church for each other or at the macro church as we resume weekly services. Pray for each other to be filled up by Jesus so you can pour out for each other and those who are far from God!

PRAY TOGETHER
Share as a micro church where you may have a relationship or environment where you are most tempted to be triggered by offenses. Share one thing you are going to do this week to choose not to be offended. Then pray for each other to look more like Jesus this week as we respond to, rather than react to, offenses that may come our way.
