BOTTOM LINE: Because Jesus is enough, I won't look the same
Romans 12: 2
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Ephesians 5: 1-2 NLT
1 Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. 2 Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
1. Know who you are imitating
2 Corinthians 3:18
18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
2. TRANSFORMATION IS DONE BY GOD, NOT BY ME
Proverbs 3:5
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
4. GOD'S WILL IS GREATER THAN MY WILL

START TALKING
This morning, we talked about how because Jesus is enough, I won’t look the same. Focusing on the idea that God is transforming you and I. How have you seen your relationship God transform your life?
START THINKING
Read Romans 12:2
What do you notice about the transformation part of the verse? What does this mean for us?
START SHARING
Read Ephesians 5:1-2
Thinking about imitation - who is someone that you imitate? Maybe it’s a parent, a boss, a teacher? Now, thinking about things from a heavenly perspective, how are you imitating God in your own life?
Read 2 Corinthians 3:18
Have you ever felt like you had to “work” to be more like God, like it was all on you? While we know that there are actions we can take to be closer to God, reading the Bible, praying, and worshiping to name a few, It is clear that God works through these things to transform us. What are some ways you have seen God transform your life? What are some tools he has used to do this in your life?
Read Proverbs 3:5
What are some ways you have had to trust God in the past? When have you leaned on your own understanding of a situation and God revealed something you hadn’t even considered?
Read Jeremiah 29:11
Knowing that God has a plan for our lives is incredibly comforting! How does this impact how you view his will for your life?
START DOING
If we believe that because Jesus is enough, we won’t look the same how can our lives reflect this?
How will you use your story and your changed life to make a difference in others to impact their eternity? WHO will you impact?
START PRAYING
Take a moment to pray for each person - that God will continue to shape our view of the Kingdom of God - that God will help us fall more in love with Jesus and the work he is doing in us. Pray that God gives us opportunity to impact others for eternity.

- What questions did you ask to discover where God is at work in their life, even if they are not aware?
- How were you able to share your story of life change or how you have experienced Jesus?
- How can you be intentional this week with people where you live, work, and play to have spiritual/missional conversations if the opportunity arises?
- Who in your life do you think could be disciple-able or open to spiritual/missional conversations?
