Bottom Line:
God's financial plan is bigger than dollars and cents.
Matthew 6:19 NIV
19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
1. Identify what is temporary.
Matthew 6:20 NIV
20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
2. Invest in what is eternal.
Matthew 6:21 NIV
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 7:22-23 NIV
22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
3. The result will be a changed heart.

START TALKING
When have you had something happen to you financially, whether it was positive or negative, but the impact was about a lot more than just the dollars and cents? What was the true impact that you felt and why?
START THINKING
Read Genesis 41:35-36, Malachi 3:10, and Deuteronomy 28:10. How do these verses help you better understand the concept of storing and of the "storehouse" that we see in scripture? How does this help you better understand what we are told not to do and to do in Matthew 6:19-20.
What are some examples that prove Matthew 6:21 true in every day life? Where have you seen people's hearts follow their treasure and vice versa?
START SHARING
How does Matthew 6:19 give some guidelines to help us determine was is temporary? How does this align with Mark 8:36? If you are honest, what are some temporary things that you may spend more time storing up than you realize? How do you balance the tension between what is necessary to have in life, even if it is temporary, versus working hard to store those things up, which Jesus said not to do!
What are some ways that you have found you can store up treasure in heaven as Matthew 6:20 says to do. What changes did you notice happen in your life and in your relationship with Jesus when you follow this command?
When have you seen your heart follow your treasure and your treasure follow your heart like Jesus said in Matthew 6:21? If someone didn't know you and they looked at your bank account to see how you spend money and they looked at your calendar to see how you spend time, what would they be able to tell about what is most important to you? Would what they find illustrate that your faith and relationship with Jesus is most important to you?
START DOING
What do you sense the Holy Spirit is telling you to do so that you can obey these two commands from this passage:
1. Don't store up temporary treasures.
2. Do store up eternal treasures.
How will you know when this is happening? What markers will you see present in your life?
How will doing this help you to live on mission where you live, work, and play? How will this open up opportunities for your to share your story and have spiritual conversations?
START PRAYING
Pray for the steps that each person in the micro church committed to take in the section above. Commit to holding each other accountable to doing what Jesus said to do in this passage. Pray that it opens up opportunity for each person to experience Jesus more deeply while allowing each of us more opportunity to share our faith stories with those far from God.

MULTIPLICATION
Share spiritual/missional conversations you've had where you live, work, and play:
- Who did you have a conversation with that took a spiritual/missional turn this week?
- What questions did you ask to discover where God is at work in their life, even if they are not aware?
- How were you able to share your story of life change or how you have experienced Jesus?
- How can you be intentional this week with people where you live, work, and play to have spiritual/missional conversations if the opportunity arises?
- Who in your life do you think could be disciple-able or open to spiritual/missional conversations?

WHAT'S NEXT?
- Discuss the next step for your micro church. When will we gather again, and which purpose will it fulfill (missions, fellowship/care, growth, worship, multiplication)?/giveback/giveback
