Welcome to Kid City!

Helping kids make a difference where they live, learn & play.

At OneLife, we want to partner with families so that we can lead  the next generation to love Jesus and live on mission.  We believe that parents are the spiritual authorities in their homes, and our role is to partner with you on your journey.

One way we do this is by providing engaging age-specific environments for kids 6 weeks - 5th Grade. Each Sunday when you arrive, our team of qualified Kid City volunteers is ready to care for and guide your kids. We use Biblical truths that children can use and apply to their young lives.

The second way is to equip parents. What happens on Sunday should fuel conversation during the week! We provide resources each month so that spiritual conversations can continue at home.

Lastly, throughout the year, we provide opportunities to celebrate milestones in your child's life. Whether it's Child Dedications, Salvation Classes or Baptism, we want to be there every step of the way!

A few things to know...

Check-In

Check-in opens 15 minutes prior to the service. On your first visit we'll collect some personal information such as family members' names, childrens' birthdays, any allergies, etc. For your child's safety, check-in closes and all children's areas are secured once their large group time begins - around 15 minutes into the service.

Security

At check-in, you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. During checkout, you'll walk back to your child's room, show your tag, and then pick them up. For the safety of all of our kids, we don't release any child without the appropriate tag being presented.

Text Alerts

When you first check in to Kid City you will set up your phone number for our text alert system. In the rare case that we need to reach you during the service we will text you from the check-in area. Please make sure you keep your phone nearby, and if you receive a text come on out to the check-in area.

Babies & Toddlers

Kid City Park is designed with your baby in mind! After check in, our volunteers will greet you at the door. They will gather any information we need to ensure your little one has a great morning.  During the service, we have playtime, worship music and then pray over our babies. We will send home a note each Sunday to let you know how well they did that morning!

For our toddlers, we believe they are never too young to start learning about Jesus! Our toddler environment gives young kids a place to explore, play and worship on their level.  After being greeted, kids can play individually or with a friend.  Our small group leaders share  a very short Bible story time and then do a simple craft or game afterward. At this age, kids learn by repetition, so we repeat stories a month at a time.  We love to watch our toddlers learn and grow!

Preschool

Kid City's Preschool environments are the place to be each Sunday morning! We want every preschooler to know that God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.  Our small group leaders greet preschoolers by name and engage them in the morning's activities.  In small group, we share stories, learn together and pray.  During our large group time,  we worship Jesus, hear a Bible Story,  and go over our memory verse for the month.  We end our time together with an application activity that helps reinforce the Biblical truth from the day's story.  We love to see our preschool kids experiencing Jesus!

Elementary

The Elementary years move quickly.  We want to make sure that we are engaging kids in each phase of their lives. So we've created specific elementary small groups for younger and older elementary kids. This allows our small group leaders and volunteers to connect with them and help them experience Jesus on their level.

For our K-3rd Graders, we use a large group/small group model. During small group, kids connect with their leader for teaching, sharing stories, engaging in fun activities and prayer. During large group,  all of our K-3rd kids gather for a time of high energy worship, group challenges and Biblical teaching. Afterward, they return to their small group to break down and discuss what they learned.

For our 4th/5th Graders, we provide a preteen space where they can connect with their leaders and other older elementary kids. We want to engage this age group by giving them deeper conversations and more meaningful relationships. Each Sunday, we play games, worship, listen to a Biblical message and pray together. We want every student to know their one life can make a difference!

Each week, we send home "God Time Cards." These are age specific devotionals that your student can use during their quiet time at home.  Other resources can be found on the Parent Cue app.

Level Up

Level Up is the coolest of all of our Kid City environments! Why? Because this is where kids go when their parents are volunteering!
If you are on a volunteer team, then your elementary kids go to their Kid City Group the first service and go to Level Up the second service. They'll get to hang out with friends, play video games, do crafts and best of all.... SNACKS!

Milestone Events

Child Dedications

The partnership between parents and the Church is vital to families! A few times each year we encourage our families with younger children to commit to this partnership publicly through a special child dedication service. To find out more about child dedications or to sign up for our next child dedication service, fill out our Online Connection Card and mark the Child Dedications box.

Children's Baptisms

There's nothing more rewarding than seeing a child give their life to Jesus. When this happens we celebrate that faith publicly through baptism. And for our elementary students it happens in a special celebration service JUST for them. All of this is discussed in a class for parents and their elementary students called "Start Here." Check that box on our Online Connection Card if you'd like to learn more.
