What To Expect On Sunday Morning

A Sunday at OneLife is a relaxed, friendly environment where you are welcome! We have worship music from the OneLife Band that allows you to worship God in a way that’s relevant to your life and to your experiences. You'll hear a message from our pastor that will connect you to the Bible, challenge you through your day-to-day living, and maybe even provide a few laughs, too! There is also a time of giving where you can financially support the mission of the church and the causes in our community.

Kid City

If you have kids, then you definitely know what a hassle it can be to get the whole family up and at ’em on the weekends. We’ve designed our kids programming on Sundays to be hassle-free for you and a blast for your kids! Through games and crafts in small group time and fun stories and music in big group time, your kids will love getting up to go to church on Sundays.

Frequently Asked Questions

This is my first time coming to church…
We’re so excited that you’re giving church a try! We want you to know that there’s nothing scary or weird about a service at OneLife. All of us are far from perfect, but we know there’s a God who is perfect and he wants our one life to make a difference. So we come together to celebrate that on Sundays and then hear a message that we’ll be able to take with us the rest of the week. Be sure to stop by the Next Steps area in the lobby on Sunday morning and receive a free gift from us as a way for us to say thanks to you for coming! Any one of our volunteers there will be able to answer any other questions you may have. We really look forward to meeting you!

What should I wear?
Be yourself! Some of us dress casual, some of us dress up a little, and some of us can’t get out of the 90’s. Whatever your style is, it’s welcome!

Do I need a Bible?
A Bible is always a great thing to have, but if you don’t have one don’t worry — it’ll all be up on the big screen. If you need a Bible, please stop by the Next Steps area in the lobby and we’d be happy to give you one for free.

What do I do with my kids?
Your kids (birth to 5th grade) will love Kid City. You’ll see the signs to check in when you first walk into the lobby. Check-in starts 15 minutes before the service begins and we recommend you come a little early to not miss any of the service. For security reasons, kids cannot be checked in once their “big group” time has started – about 15 minutes into the service. We appreciate your understanding of this.

Are you affiliated with a denomination?
OneLife Church is self-governing and under no denominational control. However, OneLife was started and is supported by many churches and associations (both denominational and non) including: Missionary Church USA, Knox County Association of Baptists, Tennessee Baptist Convention, Blount Community Church, Providence Church, and Friendship Baptist Church.

What are OneLife’s beliefs?
In a sentence, we believe that the Bible is the perfect, timeless Word of God and that everything in it is truth. Central to that is Jesus Christ who is the only way to God and came to give us a “better life than we ever dreamed” (John 10:10). Find out more about our beliefs, mission, and strategy by clicking here.

Why does Knoxville need more churches?
OneLife exists to be a church for those not already involved in church. Research shows that more than 300,000 residents in Knox County are not involved in a local church. As a response to that, our long-term vision is to plant a new church or additional location of OneLife within 15 minutes of every person in Knox County.
