Bottom Line: Jesus is enough even in the waiting.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:4-6
This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says to all the captives he has exiled to Babylon from Jerusalem “Build homes, and plan to stay. Plant gardens, and eat the food they produce. Marry and have children. Then find spouses for them so that you may have many grandchildren. Multiply! Do not dwindle away!
James 1:5
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
This is what the LORD says: “You will be in Babylon for seventy years. But then I will come and do for you all the good things I have promised, and I will bring you home again. For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

START TALKING
When does your weakness in some area require you to rely on the strength of someone else? Maybe it's opening the jar, fixing something you don't have the skill or "power" to fix, or managing something you don't know how to manage on your own.
When does someone else's weakness require them to rely on your strengths? How does it draw out your "power" or "strength" where they are weak?
START THINKING
Read 2 Corinthians 11:30-33.
What is counter cultural about what Paul says he will boast about? Why do you think we usually shy away from this type of boasting?
Read 2 Corinthians 12:1-6.
Why do you think Paul talks about himself in the third person, as if he is talking about another person? What does this teach us about the danger of pride and boasting? How could this experience have distracted him from his own weaknesses?
START SHARING
Read 2 Corinthians 12:7-8.
When have you begged God to take something away or to solve a weakness you had, but those prayers seemed to go unanswered (at least in the way you wanted and hoped)?
Read 2 Corinthians 12:9.
The answer to Paul's prayer is that Jesus and his presence is enough and will be enough when weakness seems to be too much. When have you experienced God's power more than ever because you were in a time or experience of weakness? How did your weakness draw out God's power?
START DOING
Read 2 Corinthians 12:10.
How can you become thankful when you face weakness and even "delight" or be "glad" in weakness because you know that Jesus' power is going to be experienced? What are actual steps that you can take to find strength in weakness through Jesus?
When you think about those around you who are far from Jesus, what is a story of your own weakness that can be shared with them to show your dependency is on Jesus? What are ways that you can look to share this story with them when they talk about their own weakness or, to the contrary, when they talk as if they do not have weakness or do not acknowledge weakness?
What do you sense the Spirit of God telling you to do as a result of this passage of Scripture and this conversation? What are you going to do about it?
START PRAYING
Pray for each other in the micro church to take the steps that you shared above. Pray that each person will experience the power of Jesus like never before even in the midst of weakness, fear, and uncertainty. Pray that each of us will be ready to share about the power that only comes when Jesus is enough to those around us where we live, work, and play.

MULTIPLICATION
Share spiritual/missional conversations you've had where you live, work, and play:
- Who did you have a conversation with that took a spiritual/missional turn this week?
- What questions did you ask to discover where God is at work in their life, even if they are not aware?
- How were you able to share your story of life change or how you have experienced Jesus?
- How can you be intentional this week with people where you live, work, and play to have spiritual/missional conversations if the opportunity arises?
- Who in your life do you think could be disciple-able or open to spiritual/missional conversations?

WHAT'S NEXT?
- Discuss the next step for your micro church. When will we gather again, and which purpose will it fulfill (missions, fellowship/care, growth, worship, multiplication)?/giveback/giveback
