The Big Regift Christmas Missions Offering
Each Christmas season we challenge our OneLifers to give their biggest gift to Jesus during the Big
Regift Christmas Missions Offering. Every penny will go to support OneLife’s 2023 missions partners around Knoxville, around the country, and around the world! You can give to the offering using the Big Regift Christmas Offering envelopes or online at onelifeknox.com/give.

No Services, December 25
Each year OneLife takes the last Sunday of the year off to allow our volunteers, staff, and church to rest. So enjoy your Christmas day with family and friends on December 25 and we will see you back in the New Year on January 1 for one service at 10am at each of our campuses!

MyOneLife - Starts January 22

MyOneLife is a 4-week small group experience that takes place on Sunday mornings during the 10:45am service in the Meeting Room at each of our campuses beginning January 23. For more information or to sign up, check the “MyOneLife” box on your Connection Card.

Bottom Line: My big God loved me so big that he gave big.

John 3:16 NLT
16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

1. God is bigger than I can imagine.

2. His love for me is unusually big.

3. My mess is not bigger than my big God.

4. The heart of my big God is that of a big giver.

START TALKING
What is the biggest gift you've ever received? Share that story!

What is the biggest gift you've ever given? Share that story!

How did the gift show how big the love was?

START THINKING
Read John 3:1-16. Why do you think Jesus explains the Christmas story and the gospel the way that he does in verse 16 to Nicodemus?

Put yourself in Nicodemus's shoes...what about this story would have been hard for you to understand or accept? What does Jesus essentially tell him in the first part of the story about what isn't enough versus what is to have a relationship with him?

START SHARING
Thinking about the four words we focused on in this message, share about each of the following:

- What does your mind go to when you hear or read about or talk to God? What has shaped your view of Him? How can you continually grow in your understanding of him and remind yourself of how big he really is?

- What does your mind go to when you think about God loving? How does it change when you realize that this "love" was even an unusual word in the culture when the Bible was written? How would you explain to someone else how you have experienced an unusual love from God?

- The "world" Jesus spoke about that God sent him into was a mess - a bad mess. How can you relate to this? How does it teach about how the love of God that he and his love are bigger than your own mess?

- The gift Jesus speaks of keeps on giving for eternity. How do you unintentionally reduce the story of Christmas or maybe even the story of Jesus down to a one time event? How does realizing it goes on and on impact your relationship with him and your worship of him?

START DOING
How can you share your own experience with your big God loving in a big way and giving in a big way because of it? If you used that to tell someone else about your experience with Him (your story), what would you say? Practicing sharing that!

To follow Jesus in responding to a big love with a big, sacrificial "give," what will you sacrifice to give and to love Him back in a big way?

Who will you invite to come with you to a Christmas service this week? How can you make it more than an invitation to an event, but a chance to share your story?

START PRAYING
Pray for each person and the practical steps they shared in the section above. Pray that God uses these experiences to write a story for each person that will impact others for Him, and that we all look for ways to share that story wherever we live, work, or play!
