Share spiritual/missional conversations you've had where you live, work, and play:
- Who did you have a conversation with that took a spiritual/missional turn this week?
- What questions did you ask to discover where God is at work in their life, even if they are not aware?
- How were you able to share your story of life change or how you have experienced Jesus?
- How can you be intentional this week with people where you live, work, and play to have spiritual/missional conversations if the opportunity arises?
- Who in your life do you think could be disciple-able or open to spiritual/missional conversations?

Bottom Line: My passion is unique to my past.
Colossians 3:1-2 NIV
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
1. What have been my passions?
Colossians 3:12-13 NIV
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
2. What has been my pain?
Colossians 3:23-24 NIV
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masterssince you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
3. What have I been good at?

START TALKING:
What is an invention or service that you use everyday because someone saw a need and did what they could do about it?
What is an invention or service that you use everyday because someone saw a need and did what they could do about it?
START THINKING:
Read Colossians 3:1-2.
Read Colossians 3:1-2.
What do you think these verses mean for the things that fire you up or get you excited? Do they mean you should completely abandon those if they aren't spiritual? Or is it possible that these verses teach how we can use those passions for more than merely earthly purposes?
Read Colossians 3:12-13.
Read Colossians 3:12-13.
The word "bear" also means to "suffer." Re-read the verse using that word instead. How does this help you understand it better? How does this connect pain to passion?
Read Colossians 3:23-24.
Read Colossians 3:23-24.
Why is this so important, considering how most of your waking hours will be spent throughout your life? What does it teach about how you can live a life of worship? How can this also help you to discover your passion and your calling? And what does it mean if you are in a work situation that prevents you from doing this for some reason?
START SHARING:
When you look back over your life, what are the things, interests, or causes that have fired you up, stirred your heart, or gotten you excited? How can you use this to lead to your calling?
When has someone suffered with you, and they were able to because of their own past? How did this impact you?
What is your own past pain that causes you to want to (or could led you to) suffer with someone else who is going through similar pain now? How could your past passion, that maybe you have shied away from or haven't wanted to revisit, actually be used to help you discover your calling to make a difference in the Kingdom and in the lives of other people?
When you think about your work or how you have spent a lot of time in your life, what have you been good at? What have other people often complimented about you when you do certain things? Don't be shy! Being honest about the gifts that God has given you will help you discover your calling! Instead of thinking about what you want to be good at or think you are good at, what have others consistently complimented or noticed? This could be revealing your calling!

START DOING:
Each person in the microchurch share needs that you have seen over the past week (or go back over the needs you shared in last week's discussion) and apply these questions to each one:
1. What passions from my past could help me feel compassion about it or get motivated to meet it?
2. What pain from my past helps me empathize with the need?
3. What have I been good at or am I good at that could help meet the need?
If none of those questions are answered

START PRAYING:
Pray for each other in the microchurch to see as Jesus sees and to discover a personal calling and mission. Pray that our microchurch will see the needs around us in our specific communities and circles of influence and that our hearts will break with what breaks God's heart. Pray that we won't stop there but will be willing to sacrifice, risk, and do something about those needs! And finally, pray that as we identify our calling and live it out, that the glory and honor will not be for us but will point people straight to Jesus!
